Transferred into the Computer Science + Philosophy Program at the
University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign from the local community
college. Felt like a late start, but I am determined to take as many
opportunities as I can with the short time to adjust. I am a
passionate learner about why and how certain systems and skills are
used, and how I can incorporate it into my work and bring value to
myself and the people around me.
I have foundational knowledge in the object-oriented languages Python
and C++, and basic front-end website development groundwork in HTML
and CSS.
The philosophy comes in to help me break down large, abstract, and
complicated concepts into digestible foundational and practical ideas
to then, be able to communicate these ideas and help paint a big
picture. It helps me get everyone on the same page, and divide roles
and tasks to take on individually and methodically.
As I am interested in Game Development, there are lots of fields to
cover like visual design, communicating and teaching, and hardware and
software engineering, which doesn't even touch the philosophy and art
half of game development. There is always something to learn that can
be applied to this career, so I will ambitiously chase and learn any
learning opportunity presented to me. Full-stack, UI/UX, software engineering all interests me.
Revitalizing a local autoshop website to simplify user experience and inform quickly with a modern design. Work in Progress.
